Justyna Cyza– VCE Geography Tutor

Key qualifications and details:

Geography is often considered a ‘bludge’ by many students, a subject where it’s easy and tempting to do minimal work, but also one that can nastily surprise you with your study score at the end of the year. Only a very small amount of individuals manage to secure those desirable high scores.

The good news? Those scores of 40+ are totally achievable with the right approach! I managed to secure a study score of 49 in 2015 (making me the equal 6th best Geographer in Victoria) as well as receiving the John Monash Science School DUX award for the subject. My passion for the field has driven me to pursue further studies in Geography through my Laws/Science degree at Monash.

This means my knowledge, skills, and ability to help you will only grow from this point forth. I am up to date with the curriculum changes that have occurred this year, and have personally met with VCE Geography teachers to discuss what is expected of new students.

Whether you require assistance in developing those truly excellent case studies for both SACs and the exam, deciphering geography metalanguage, or simply would like any concept explained in greater detail, I am happy to help! Lessons will be highly interactive and tailored to your specific needs.

Rates, location and scores

  • Results obtained by tutor: a raw study score of 49 in Geography, and an overall ATAR of 97.90 in 2015.
  • Location: meeting would be easiest at any Monash Clayton library, or alternatively the Chelsea Library, but I’m willing to explore other options.
  • Rates: $30 for one-on-one sixty minute sessions, or $20 per person in group (2-3 students) hour long tutes.
