Goutami Barman – VCE Business Management, Health and Human Development and English Tutor

Key qualifications and details:

Hello! My name is Goutami and I’m a 2014 graduate from Box Hill High School, achieving an ATAR of 99.55. I am currently studying Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Monash University.

I would be delighted to be your tutor for Business Management, Health and Human Development, and English this year – three subjects that I enjoyed immensely during Year 12. I hope I can help you enjoy them too!

I have experience teaching students during 2015 and 2016, and I take care to adjust my tutoring style according to my students’ needs. Using a patient manner of teaching, I hope to help you learn not only the course contents, but also study techniques and ways of thinking that make it easier to excel in SACs and the final exam. I share summary notes and A+ example essays with students, so they are aware of what quality of work they can and will achieve!

I always do my best to be flexible while arranging class times and locations, as we all know how stressful Year 12 can be – especially when you may be juggling study, work, extra-curricular activities and the UMAT!

Contact me as soon as possible! I look forward to helping you achieve the study scores of your dreams.

Rates, location and scores

At Box Hill High School, I was the dux of Business Management [48]. I enjoyed this subject the most, and I still have a great appreciation of the theories and concepts taught in the study design.

I also duxed English, achieving a study score of 45. My topic for Context was Imaginative Landscape, which is a rewarding topic to choose for the final exam (you may decide to do this even if your school has chosen one of the other topics).

I achieved 45 in Health and Human Development, a subject which intrigued me due to my interest in Global and Australian health.

My hourly rate is $30 for one-on-one tuition, and $25 for group tutoring. It is beneficial to come with your study group or with friends, as someone may ask questions that you hadn’t thought of yet.

I tutor students in a quiet, private room at my house in Bayswater, which is within walking distance from the train station and the 664 bus route. However, I am studying at the Monash Clayton Campus, so if it is closer or easier for you to travel there, I am more than happy to make this the location.

Please discuss with me if you would like to meet in public libraries, as sometimes they can be noisy and unproductive places to work, and sometimes, they are perfect for a quick class before a SAC! As I said, I realise how valuable it is to have a flexible tutor.
