Key qualifications and details:
Hi! I am Eleisha and I graduated from John Monash Science School with the 2015 cohort, obtaining an ATAR of 99.90. This year I am studying Commerce, specifically majoring in actuarial studies, at the University of Melbourne.
I will be providing both private and group tutoring (2-3 people) for Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. As a maths enthusiast and recent VCE graduate who understands the struggles, I hope to guide and help you in these subjects both academically and emotionally so you can achieve your personal best.
For Methods and Specialist Maths, I am aware of the slight changes in the study design that encompasses statistics and additional probability. However, since I am studying actuarial studies, which is heavily centred around probability and statistics, there should be no hindrance in teaching these added topics.
Depending on your preferences, I am willing to teach ahead so you will have a head start amongst your peers and class lessons will only be to consolidate your knowledge, thus leaving more time for exam preparation; or I can teach at the same pace as your class teacher to cover each topic in further depth and allow time for further questions. Outside of class, I am easily accessible, so I can answer any of your questions or clarifications as quick as possible. Moreover, I will also be providing my own notes and tips, as well as practice exams to ensure you’re prepared to the best of your ability for the final exams.
In addition to mathematical support, I also hope to provide general advice that can help you succeed in VCE. In particular, my excellent organisation and time management abilities have helped me perform well in every subject, thus I can share my study tips that can enable you to improve your overall performance in all areas.
